I don't like being touched unless I know I'm about to be. My brother can't quite figure this out yet.
I only said no for the BRIGHT LIGHT question because there was no somewhat option. I'm about half and half with bright lights and glare, then again I'm going blind anyway.
These are interesting questions that I'm curious about, too. Sometimes it feels like I'm just surrounded by people who are numb from the brain down lol. It sounds a little like Sensory Integration Dysfunction, but I have similar issues connected with OCD.
I don't know where to put my arms, but I've come to the conclusion that "folded in my lap" is the least awkward. If I'm being weird about it at work, it's "casually on the desk/keyboard/mouse, where people can see them" because psychologically, people feel more at ease and more trusting when they can see you hands. (lol this really sounds like crazy talk, but it's how I think)
I said "no" to clothes/food, though it varies in its own way. If I eat the same thing often, I chalk it up to it being vegetarian and pre-diabetic, and having a hard time finding balanced meals that fit my diet. For clothes, I tend to change clothes several times throughout the day, until I feel most comfortable. That sounds normalish, but I'll change a couple times in an hour, or change every few hours. I learned how to put on my own shoes and socks and how to tie them at an unusually young age, because mom could never get it right and I asked her to show me. Similarly, since I was little, I'm the only one who can make my bed, and if anyone gets in it or changes it, I know immediately.
Bright lights do bother me a bit, and so do lights that is too dim, but I can adjust. What really gets me, is where the source comes from, what color it is, how bright it is. Last night I spent a half hour placing lamps around my room until the lighting made me comfortable enough to be able to play a video game. It's maddening.
I do really notice changes in humidity/air pressure, but they don't bother me, not like they used to. I sort of changed from a cold weather person to a warm weather person.
You didn't mention sound, but subtle nagging sounds drive me up the wall, like hums or clicks. Tinny, high-pitched, high-trebled and/or poor quality sounds makes me want to scream. I wonder if it's just me, because my mom is hard of hearing, and I'm beginning to suspect my dad and sister are too. I usually turn the TV down really low when I watch something and turn on the closed captioning, because I hate the sound of the TV. My family watches everything just above my tolerance threshold, and I can't stand it. I'm also very sensitive to low frequencies and low noises, like nearby roads, or people walking around. I don't know if I can hear them more or literally feel them, almost like when you can feel very loud thunder rumble in your core, but much less obvious.
